November Highlights: A Month of Events, Networking, and Sharing Insights

November has been an incredibly fulfilling month filled with events, collaborations, and opportunities to connect with inspiring individuals across various industries. Here’s a recap of some of the highlights:

Panel Speaking: From Sport to Policing to Financial Planning

At the launch event of David James Wealth’s new office, I had the honour of speaking on a panel. The discussion revolved around the critical need for financial planning as an athlete and my own unique journey—from competing in sports to a career in policing, and now, working as a financial planner. It was an opportunity to share lessons learned and emphasise the importance of planning for life both during and after sport.

Mental Health and Wealth: My Breakfast for Sports Introducers

I hosted my own Breakfast for sports introducers this month, focusing on the vital connection between mental health and financial well-being. The session aimed to spark meaningful conversations about the pressures athletes face, both on and off the field, and how financial stability can play a role in supporting overall mental health.

Lees Accountants Breakfast with Tom Allen

Another memorable event this month was attending a breakfast hosted by Lees Accountants, where introducers gathered for networking and insights. The highlight was undoubtedly the presence of comedian Tom Allen, who brought humour and energy to the room. It was a brilliant combination of business and light-hearted entertainment.

Looking Ahead

As the year winds down, I’m reflecting on the incredible opportunities November has brought. From celebrating sporting achievements to facilitating important conversations about mental health and financial planning, this month has been a reminder of the power of collaboration and community. I’m looking forward to what the next chapter holds as we head into the festive season and prepare for an exciting 2025!
